I am a MA student at Dharma Realm Buddhist University (DRBU). Prior to coming to DRBU I already earned a PhD in Mathematics from Rice University. I created this site to share my feeling about scientific enquiry and a vision for a new kind of Science.
Here’s some of my feelings regarding my scientific education and about modern sciences:
- Obviously it’s useful because the way it enquiries into nature exploits the analytical nature of the Intellect.
- The process of learning and discovery is a lot of fun.
Some imperfections I felt:
- Only emphasizing the rigidity of lab procedure and ignoring the human mind.
- Only emphasizes his intellectual ability.
- Fails to develop a person as a whole, including virtue and cultivation of the whole being.
- Only uses intellect. Remain on the surface of reality.
- Unable to transcend Space and Time.
That’s why I am interested in bringing Science back to its original place, which should be a kind of Scientific Inquiry based on spiritual practice.
